What I have Done in My Team

JPL Group

Poster

For my team I have created prototype launchers that will hold the ping pong ball and a spring.  The spring is held and when released, it will launch the ping pong ball in the desired direction.

Updates

9-24-19

In the next few weeks my group and I need to continue testing the prototype launchers to see what changes need to be made and how our track idea needs to be done.  Once done, we can finalize the launcher mechanisms and test it within the 60 seconds to see how it would do in the competition.

The last two weeks have had major progress.  We have been able to get a launcher that can securely launch the ball through the path and make a base to hold everything up.  I am the one who made the launcher and used my 3D printer to make it.  I also helped to make the holes in the pipe to help lessen overall drag.  To test the overall design, we have tested the launcher through the pipe at different angles to make sure that it can make it.  To view a projected timeline of my groups timeline until the competition click here.
